At the Storyteller’s Cottage, we held a lot of “bookish” events for both adults and children. One of our seasonal adult events was a midnight dinner, and the theme for was this one was “The Night Circus” by Erin Morgenstern.

The gourmet three-course meal was made up of food straight out of “The Night Circus,” including the chocolate mice. The night was full of themed games and discussion, and we hired a psychic to do readings for our guests in the Castle Room upstairs.

On the night of, I decorated the two dining rooms, checked guests in, served food and drinks, hosted the games and discussions in one of the dining rooms, and managed the queue of guests having their fortunes told by Evernia the psychic.
