During my senior year at Western New England University, I planned a trip to New York City for the Spiritual Life organization on campus. We took a walking tour of Ellis Island and stopped at the Statue of Liberty.

The tour was hosted by CharactTours, a touring company made up of actors with the goal of connecting audiences to characters from all walks of life throughout history. At the time, it was a two-man operation that had only been around for a year, but the company has since grown. 

I planned this trip from start to finish, scheduling out the day, choosing the touring company and booking a tour, finding and reserving a restaurant with vegan options for some of our students, keeping track of tickets bought and confirming with students who were coming, and booking the bus to take us to New York. The day was a big success and a lot of fun!
